The Glory of Man by Jason Mitchell

We men are wretched things
We rule as wicked kings
The lofty crowns that sit upon our heads
Are made from the flesh of the dead
Our castles are built upon pride and hate
And jealousy provides a perfect gate
We lust of things not ours
And this gives rise to mighty towers
We make haste to shed innocent blood
I know see why He cast a great flood
There is nothing in us but lies and deceit
For this, in hell we all shall meet
There must be a man merciful and true
You may even think that man is you
"look at all the good I have done"
But there is none that doeth good no not one
For we men are wretched things
The greatest of beings
