the city caught on fire last night. kindled by nightfall. mr. lantern, just kill me already.
by Jesse Shiosaki

mr. lantern is my
nightmare. he keeps me
up at night. and he's always
there. keeping me
up at night.

they say he is of a king,
a prince. your majesty, is
it okay that i want you to
disappear? i'm sorry.
it's just that you're
so classic. with your touch of
acid. while your eyes dilate to
ms. chandelier.

made of violins and
light. sassy and secret.
there will be a
massacre. fabulous fashion and
absolutely
splendid.

see right now, i'm trying real hard
not to be frantic.
[schizophrenic]

mr. black piano key is
now being introduced.
a brittle charlatan. casting
flamingo eyes. haunted by mr.
lantern.

oh my, stephanie, stay
sincere. heal these wishing wells
that howl fancy and
dilemma. good one
virus. but you've been sophisticated.

ms., i miss you. so i would understand
if he is
fascinating. remain merry and
pacific. i shall stay jealous
and silent. as the stars harbor
these feelings.

i swear it to you. this
sidewalk can go on forever.
and ever. and ever.
and ever.

stephanie
and mr. clandestine have
been mechanical.

the treatment? elementary.
the treatment? murder.
the treatment? paris.

because you see,
last night, i sat under the
stars. and saw the eiffel tower.
and then i saw you. and became
bi-polar. my dear, "i'll see
you soon."

so put your apostrophes in
your catastrophes.

this endeavor will last
forever.
and ever. and ever.
and ever.
